PM-KISAN pays ₹6,000 a year to eligible landholding farmer families, transferred directly to a bank account in three instalments of ₹2,000. There is no repayment and no condition on how the money is used — it is income support, intended to cover part of a season's input costs. Registration is done once, but instalments stop if e-KYC is not completed or if the Aadhaar-linked bank account details do not match, and this is the single most common reason a registered farmer stops receiving payments. Higher-income taxpayers, institutional landholders and certain categories of government pensioners and office-holders are excluded.

The Chhattisgarh government runs a per-acre input assistance scheme for farmers who sell paddy through the state's registered procurement system, paid into the farmer's bank account in addition to the procurement price itself. Because state schemes are revised at each budget — and this one has been restructured and renamed more than once — we are deliberately not printing a rate here. Registration for state procurement is the gateway to this benefit, and that registration has its own annual window, so the practical action is to complete your procurement registration at the society on time.
