Agri-Clinics & Agri-Business Centres (ACABC)

ACABC trains agriculture graduates and other eligible candidates to set up their own agri-service ventures — soil testing units, input supply, custom hiring services, veterinary services, post-harvest handling. Training is residential and provided free of cost to the selected candidate, and successful candidates are linked to bank credit with a capital subsidy component. For a farming household with an educated young member, this is one of the few routes that converts an agriculture degree into a village-level business instead of a job search in a city.

Graduates in agriculture and allied subjects from recognised institutions
Diploma, PG diploma and biological-science graduates with post-graduation in agriculture-related subjects, as specified

Apply on the ACABC portal for a training batch at a nodal training institute. Chhattisgarh has designated nodal institutes listed on the portal.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra training and extension

Every district has a Krishi Vigyan Kendra — an ICAR-linked farm science centre that runs demonstrations on farmers' fields, short training courses, and soil and water testing. KVKs are the most underused resource in Indian agriculture: the training is free or nearly free, the advice is based on trials run in your own district's conditions rather than a national average, and the staff are agricultural scientists you can reach by phone. If you take only one action from this entire section, find your district's KVK and get on its contact list.

Free or low-cost training, on-farm demonstrations, advisory services, and testing facilities, delivered district by district.
